Rape Survivors quote people who attacked them.

I was going through the internet today, and came to this.

This glaringly reflects the problems that plague our world, our mentality. One of the most shameful things that happen in the world, done by barbaric people continues unabated, since somewhere or the other we encourage it.

One of them even has her brother saying something. Breaks my heart.

Project Unbreakable is founded by 21 year old photographer Grace Brown.
In 2011, she started photographing survivors who faced sexual assault. The photograph just had to have the survivor holding up a poster where they quoted their attackers.

Ever since she started out, the project has showcased more than 2,000 stories of survivors.

The only requirements were as follows

  • Submissions should be nameless
  • Should be within quotation marks.
Below are some examples of what she has clicked so far.

This image was part of an article on The Society Pages where it drew comparisons from what the assaulter said and the  lyrics of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”

I know a lot of people will say why copy it, but the truth is, had I not, most of you wouldn't even have checked the link thinking it as a Spam.
I would request you to donate for the cause too. I did. The work they are doing is amazing and (I Hope) will bring courts stopping the Juvenile thing from interfering with the sentences being handed out to them.

  1. Most of the Quotations depicted the retard nature of the Rapist, everyone is crazy in some way or another, some manage to subside this craziness in their mind, dominate it with the consciousness and fear of society, while some take no such effort. I remember this quote, I use it most often and here I use it again "Madness is just like gravity, all it needs to come out is a push" Hate to live in a world like this, hate more the fact that it is not going to change. Glad you posted, that's one good thought you had today.

    1. I completely agree with you on this. I would also add to it that it is we who will have to start off.

    2. Even I would like to share my view with u guys, not only boys even girls should be taught not to entertain boys by their acts and dressing. No boy is bad neither no girl is good, that all depends upon how we act and how we take. But, “I hope that real love and truth are stronger in the end than any evil or misfortune in the world.”

  4. Looking at each one of the photographs and reading each one of those lines....makes me feel for all those girls, the sense of helplessness and disgust they must have felt. And the courage it took them to even speak out and let the world know about it. thanks for sharing this...
